Oprah in trouble

The New York Times wrote an article this weekend about the soccer moms getting sick of Oprah.

Apparently her audience has dropped by 7 percent – its third straight year of decline.

Things in the Queen of All Media’s publishing empire aren’t any better.

Circulation of O, The Oprah Magazine, has fallen by more than 10 percent in the past three years and the mag is looking for a new editor in chief since announcing the retirement of longtime editor Amy Gross.

ABC wanted to do a second season of Oprah’s Big Give, even though the show steadily lost nearly one-third of its audience during its eight-week run, but Oprah passed.

Meanwhile, after her much-publicized endorsement of Senator Barack Obama’s presidential bid, she seems to be keeping things on the down-low.

Apparently her endorsement alienated the middle-aged white cougars who make up the bulk of her audience who support Senator Hillary Clinton.

Shortly after she announced her support, her “favorable” ratings fell by 8 percent.

We love Oprah and think she does amazing work, but her show is seriously getting creepy.

She seems to be a bit full of herself and the frenzied Stepford audience reaction to her “favorite things” show is fanatic.

Those broads would totally drink any Kool-Aid Oprah offered.
